This field report recapitulates the most recent crisis in Gaza in light of the political “change” in Egypt which negatively affected Gaza.
The EuroMid has documented the killing of at least 1215 protesters across Egypt
Prior to the 14 August clashes, the two main protest sites, al-Nahda and Rabaa al-Adawiya, were densely populated with women, children, and men who have been staging a 47 days-long peaceful sit-in to protest the removal of President Mohammed Morsy.
Many of the at least 74 pro-Morsy protesters killed in clashes with Egypt’s riot police and plain clothed men who stood alongside were shot in the head or chest.
